    Dowagiac's New Guest Housing Sites Collaborate on Stay Dowagiac

    Chamber of Commerce members on July 20 toured the 1870 House, one of the new Airbnbs to open within the community.

    Black Business Expo Expands Segments and Seeks Vendors from Throughout Michigan

    Black Wall Street Kalamazoo is readying its next Annual Kalamazoo Black Business Expo. With the last local expo bringing together more than 800 people from Kalamazoo, Battle Creek, Grand Rapids, Detroit, and even some parts of Indiana to Buy Black, this is an excellent opportunity for Black businesses to be showcased, educated on resources, and to demonstrate collaboration.

    Rod & Roll Classic Auto Show Welcomes Wood, Stock & Grill Aug. 21

    Plans for the 30th annual Dowagiac Rod & Roll Classic Auto Show of the Chamber of Commerce are underway. Chamber President and Event Chairperson Kris Soenen, owner of Who Knew? Consignment, is heading up the event, assisted by Co-chair Jim Kazlauskas, owner of Jim D’s Body Shop.

    More than 200 classic cars will drive in from all over southwestern Michigan and northern Indiana on Saturday, Aug. 21, vying for the Best of Show and Top 15. Five separate categories will also be awarded that include best custom, engine, interior, paint and rat rod. Visitors can talk shop with car owners, view beautifully restored vehicles and partake in breakfast on Front Street, hosted by Jordan Anderson, owner of The Baker’s Rhapsody. New this year, the event welcomes Wood, Stock & Grill that will serve BBQ out of its Volkswagen Beetle-based "smokewagon."
