rsz ice timeArtisans compete for cash prizes, as they create street sculptures from more than 10,000 pounds of ice at Dowagiac Ice Time 2019 on Saturday, February 2.

Watch timber and wood carvers, gather ‘round the campfire for warm and chocolaty S’mores, or sample southwest Michigan’s spiciest chili during the professional chili cook-off. Be sure to arrive early for the Out of Hibernation Sale and the deep discounts shopkeepers offer.

    Former City Clerk Jim Snow Honored as 2018 Parade Grand Marshal

    When Dowagiac’s 37th annual Candle-light Christmas Parade takes to the streets Friday, a man who has given his heart and soul to this community will be honored. Former City Clerk James E. Snow, who is fondly known as “Mr. Dowagiac,” was selected by the Chamber to serve as Grand Marshal of the 130-unit holiday procession.
