    Sandy & Rachel's Passion is to Help People

    A week before Michigan issued its Stay at Home, Stay Safe mandate, Rachel Jurgenson and her mother and business partner, Sandy Jones, signed a lease with Jeff and Melissa Gunn on the rear storefront of Deck the Halls.


    They spent the next few weeks renovating the interior of the storefront at 103 Commercial, and relocated their business from their first location in Dowagiac, which they shared with Bronzed Buns, adjacent to Aaron's. While the start of the pandemic in March 2020 gave them additional time to work on their new setting, their opening the following month certainly helped soothe the anxiety many were feeling during this past year.

    The Restaurant Revitalization Fund Application Opens Today, With Webinar Assistance May 6

     Today is the day! The Restaurant Revitalization Fund (RRF) application is now open through the Small Business Administration’s (SBA) application portal. The SBA is administering this new $28.6-billion COVID-19 relief fund that will provide restaurants with financial support equal to their pandemic-related revenue losses.
     
    For program details like eligibility, funding amount, allowable use of funds, and more, check out the SBA’s dedicated webpages.
