    MIOSHA Relaxes COVID Workplace Rules

    The Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration filed a new set of coronavirus emergency guidelines to align with the federal OSHA's rules, which would make mandatory rules, including mask wearing, applicable only to some health care workplaces.

    Based upon the June 22 action, the emergency rules issued by MIOSHA on May 24, are rescinded. With the change, non-health care employers are no longer required to keep mask wearing, daily health screenings and distancing measures in place.

    Zena Burns and Richard Jackson, owners of Dowagiac's first airbnb, the 1870 House, will host the return of the Chamber's Business After Hours on Tuesday, July 20.
     
    "After a year's absence, we are excited to gather Chamber members for an evening of great conversation and networking, while also gathering in great style, as Zena and Richard graciously open 1870 House to us," said Vickie Phillipson, Chamber of Commerce program director.
